This week our plant is thriving tall and taking up a lot of space. It is green and will soon sprout fruit. Our plant is living because it grows. Living things grow and survive and our plant is very alive. In the beginning our plant was just a few seeds in a plastic bag, then a leaf and a stem and now a full grown brussels sprout plant. The stages show how this plant indeed is living because it changed appearance, size and shape. Our plants need air, water and sunlight, just like humans. They are made up of cells and are aware of what's around them.
