The purpose of this project is to learn about growth in an environment. The ecosystem is growing the more plants we plant. Our plant is brussels sprouts which are like tiny cabbages. The usually pretty tall so we planted them in the back so their shadow wouldn't cover any plants. When the plant grow there are animals that feed on it which creates trophic levels. The brussels sprouts are a first level producer and the insects that eat it are second level consumers.
